What is Computer Science & Engineering?
The Computer Science and Engineering major gives students access to multidisciplinary problems with a focus on total systems engineering. Students will learn the computer science principles that are critical to development of software, hardware and networking of computer systems. Computer Science & Engineering is the scientific and practical approach to computation and its applications. It is the systematic study of the feasibility, structure, expression, and mechanization of the methodical procedures (or algorithms) that underlie the acquisition, representation, processing, storage, communication of, and access to information. A computer scientist specializes in the theory of computation and the design of computational systems.
Its fields can be divided into a variety of theoretical and practical disciplines. Some fields, such as computational complexity theory (which explores the fundamental properties of computational and intractable problems), are highly abstract, while fields such as computer graphics emphasize real-world visual applications. Still other fields focus on challenges in implementing computation. For example, programming language theory considers various approaches to the description of computation, while the study of computer programming itself investigates various aspects of the use of programming language and complex systems. Human–computer interaction considers the challenges in making computers and computations useful, usable, and universally accessible to humans.
Computer Science & Engineering Department @ Madhav :
The faculty members are grouped under five broad specializations - Hardware, Artificial Intelligence, Embedded, Networking and Software Engineering. They have been engaged in research in all the classical areas of Computer Science & Engineering and upcoming areas too. The academic activities are supported by 08 computer labs. The Department has decided recently to focus major research efforts in the different areas of Computer Science & Engineering. The faculty has been active in offering consultancy services to industries and conduct courses regularly to facilitate the continuing education of practicing engineers.
The Computer Science & Engineering Department at Madhav University is one of the most important and intellectual department in terms of faculty – student communication, activities and continues to lead and expand its activities in various directions of research and new technological facets. The Department is known for research and projects in robotics, embedded system design, software development, software testing, software analysis, network communication, network configuration, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, data base management, hardware engineering, cryptology and other areas. Experimental and computational facilities are being continuously upgraded. Industry interaction has been increased with several postgraduate courses being offered to industry participants, and many students working in industry-sponsored projects.
The department is very well equipped with computational facilities and resources both in terms of hardware and software. Department has computing systems and workstations loaded with wide range of software products covering all areas of computer engineering.

Educational Objectives
Computer Science Engineering Programs are designed to prepare students for continued learning and successful careers in industry, government, academia and consulting. Our alumni are expected to:

Courses running under the Department
- Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering: It is a 3-year course which students can pursue after the completion of 10 years of school education. Diploma holders are eligible for lateral entry to the third semester Engineering Courses.
- B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering: Bachelor of Technology (⦁ B.Tech) is the 4-year full-time undergraduate course in engineering. Prerequisites for pursuing B.Tech is 10+2 passed with ⦁ PCM group from the recognized educational board.
- M. Tech in Software Engineering: Postgraduate course in engineering resulting in the award of a Master of Engineering (M.E.) or Master of Technology (⦁ M.Tech) degree. It is a 2-years course that one can pursue after completing a 4-year undergraduate program in engineering (B.Tech).
