Happenings and Academic Events
The Faculty organizes planned educational trips to strategically and important agricultural institutions and to various other places to take learning beyond the four walls of the classroom, thus helping students to reach out for information beyond the text books. Educational trips expand horizons and college life of students to facilitate, to know and to understand the practical work from well experienced experts in the field of agriculture. Such outdoor activities act as catalyst to think out of the box and broaden the outlook of students, giving them an opportunity to shape their future line of action and to develop expertise in agricultural profession.
Educational Visits & Other Events
The March session focused primarily on the Sustainable Development Goals that can be planned, financed and implemented for profit making by the farmers and for the farmers. In this regard, an educational/Agricultural trip was organized to Shilpgrow Farm, Amirgarh in the Gujarat state. It was a perfect example of "Farming as a business activity with huge potential and profits”. The farm area of about 26 hectares was under hi-tech cultivation practices such as Green house, Poly House, Net House, Sprinkler & Drip Irrigation System (micro-irrigation) etc. Students learned about the practices followed for Caster seed production and vegetable nursery bed preparation.

The seed is the basic and the most important input in agriculture and the success of agriculture depends upon production and supply of good quality seed of high yielding varieties. An Educational visit to Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agriculture University predominantly concentrated on learning about the variety development, evolution and release of varieties, seed production, seed processing, seed certification and seed storage. Students acknowledged themselves about the operation of seed processing plant and other details on Mega Seed Project which is a dream project of Indian Council of Agricultural Research, running in all State Agricultural Universities in India. Students had an interactive session with the experts at Castor and Mustard Hybrid Seed Research Station of the University and held discussion on Integrated Farming System Relay Cropping, Inter Cropping, and Vermicomposting unit.

National Milk Day Celebration

National Milk Day Celebrations at the Faculty Conference Hall
Facultymembers and the students organized National Milk Day, in the honour of Verghese Kurien, the Father of White Revolution in India, for his milestone achievements for developing dairy farming as India’s largest self-sustaining industry and the largest rural empowerment. A quiz competition was also organized on this occasion, and prizes were awarded to the winners.

World Soil-Health Day celebrations at the Faculty
On this occasion, Faculty members and students of participated in the open house discussion on the reclamation and maintenance of soil health for sustainable agricultural production to bring awareness among all stakeholders about the need to protect soil health and its importance in crop biodiversity. Students took active part in quizzes, debates, poster presentations and cultural programmes.
Career Counselling Meet
April Session was observed with a career counseling meet. Choosing the right career option and right opportunity, depending upon the need of the market, is need of the hour to exploit the available expert potential of agriculture graduates/ diploma holders. In this scenario, seeking the help of an experienced and qualified career counselor expends the horizon of career opportunities. Agri Career, a national level talent acquisition company, specializes in Agriculture, Food and Rural Development working with more than 200 corporates across India, conducted an interactive counseling session with the students of the Faculty. The company's Director, Mr. Yuvraj Manish enlightened the audience about the avenues in the field of agriculture, food and rural development. He broadly categorized the opportunities for agricultural experts in four major areas; namely input, output, supply and allied sectors. He also enriched the audience on the expectations of the corporate sector, leadership model, role models and stressed that the students should develop integrity, relentless, determination and courage to grow in life. More than hundred agriculture students participated in the interactive session.

Sports Activities
Madhav University organized an Inter Faculty Student Volleyball Tournament. The final match was played between Agriculture and Pharmacy Faculties. The Volleyball championship was won by Agriculture Faculty under the captionship of Mr. Parth Patel. Such an event is a good break for students from their hectic academic routine. Sports activities help them to develop their holistic personality and also help to identify their strengths in a particular sport, thus opening up newer avenues for them.
