Farewell Party to Electrical Engineering/Diploma Students: ( 24th April 2017)

Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, organized Farewell party for diploma 3rd year and B.Tech 4th year students on 24th April 2017.Students left no stone unturned to make their senior’s last few days count memorable. The juniors went extra miles to make their cherished seniors feel special by giving them dance performances, engaging them in some interesting games and taking them down on a memory lane by bringing the University life alive through many different kinds of stage shows. Faculty members wished students a successful and happy life ahead.

Establishment of Nodal Center for Value Virtual Lab in Association with Amrita University & MHRD New Delhi. 12th May, 2017

Madhav University is looking forward to become a Nodal Center of virtual lab at National level in collaboration with the Amrita University, Kerala and Ministry of Human Resource Development. This lab will be developed for the students of Engineering and Technology, Applied Sciences, Medical Science, and Agriculture. This center will serve as a platform for students as well as faculty members to view and perform experiments in online mode.

Aim behind this project is to provide access to a high quality remote laboratory. Virtual Labs have already been developed by consortia of 12 institutes, namely, Amrita University, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, IIT Roorkee, IIT Guwahati, IIIT Hydrabad, Dayalbagh University, NIT Suratkal and College of Engineering Pune. For the sake of this Dr. Sanjay Gaur participated in the National Conference of Nodal Centre Coordinators at Amrita University, Kollam , Kerala on date 12/05/2017.

Industrial tour of ITI trainees on 18th July, 2017

On the eve of international youth skill day the students of the Madhav ITI were on a tour. On this occasion students visited the solar power plant of Brahamakumaris. Principal Sanjay Sengupta told that 81 Students along with other instructors Mr. Kamlesh Kumar ,Mr. Bharat Patel, Mr. Raghuveer Singh, Mr. Rakesh Meena, Mr. Dashrath Parmar, Mr. Bharat Kumar, Mr. Savar Ram took part in this visit. B.K. Vinayak explained in details how the solar energy generate the power and future importance of this non conventional Energy.

Selection of Project in “Festival of Education” hosted by Government of Rajasthan on 5th and 6th August, 2017

A project prepared by the students of Electrical Engineering was selected in Festival of Education held on 05th to 06th August -2017 in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Before this event, Government of Rajasthan invited projects from various Colleges/Universities of the state. After screening all received projects from experts, only 40 projects were finally selected for the presentation in the event. Project/model submitted by electrical engineering department was one among the finally selected projects. This GSM based project can be used to drive domestic appliances. The project was guided by Assistant Professor Mr. Narayan Singh Solanki. Students of electrical engineering who prepared the entire model were Probhu Dayal Meena, Kishan Kumar and Umesh Khanna. These students explained that from remote place one can switch on or off the appliances of home, shop, office and industry through text messages of mobile phone.

Sports week celebration by the students of Faculty of Engineering and Technology 25th to 29th September, 2017

Sports week was organized in faculty of engineering and technology. In this sports week, three outdoor games viz., cricket, football, volleyball and three indoor games viz., carom, chess and table tennis were played at high level of enthusiasm among engineering students. In cricket, Century hitter team won super gold championship trophy. Technical warrior team won Madhav diamond trophy in football. While, Madhav Panther (volley ball team) won the final match and captured challenger action trophy. Similarly, in indoor games also students have won trophies. All games in shorts week were smoothly played under the guidance of engineering faculty members.

Five days ITC based workshop was organized in Faculty of Engineering and Technology 09th to 13th October, 2017

An ITC based five-day workshop was organized by the faculty of engineering and technology at Madhava University from 09-10-2017 to 13-10-2017. The workshop was Broadcast from the National Institute of Teacher's Training and Research, Chandigarh.

Workshop aimed at the development of communication skills of students and teachers. Training and Placement Officer and Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering department, Mr. Avdhesh Dixit was the workshop coordinator. The theme of the workshop was the process of communication, oral and non-verbal communication, soft skills, writing the writing. Several aspects like effective group discussion, preparing students for the interview, etc. were also highlighted in the workshop.

Two days workshop on Android (A hands on training) for Computer Science Students 09th November to 10th November, 2017

A two days workshop on Android was organized on 9th and 10th November 2017 for Computer Science Engineering and Application students by the department. The workshop was hand-on in nature, where, experts from Softcon India Pvt Ltd explained Android, its history and versions, installing software, set up eclipse, core building blocks etc in the workshop. This workshop was also supported by National Skill Development Corporation. In the ending session of the workshop, participants of workshop prepared a calculator on the basis of their understanding of the Android. Students enjoyed the application of software into real life during the two days of the workshop.

Ten days workshop on Application of Designing software for Civil Engineers from 29th November to 8th December, 2017.

A workshop was organized on "Use of Designing Software in Industries" by the department of Civil Engineering. This workshop was held from Wednesday, 29.11.2017 to 08.12.2017. Thirty two Students of the Civil and Mechanical Engineering Department participated in this ten-day workshop. Mr. Deepak Raj Chauhan (Design Software Expert), Mr. Atul Singh (Marketing Manager) and Mr. Yash Singh (Civil Mentor) from SmartUp Technologies Pvt. Ltd shared several real time projects with the students. Students got a good knowledge and understanding on AutoCAD software.

Madhav University became the nodal centre of virtual lab on 12th December, 2017.

  • A lab of the Computer Science Department, Madhava University, was transferred to state-of-the-art computer simulation virtual lab under Amrita Intelligence Development. On the basis of this transformation, the University was selected as a Nodal Center of Virtual Lab. In this lab, the real world environment will be created for the operation of the experiments and the problems of the physical laboratory will be solved. This lab shall be a tool for experiments that allows people to share knowledge, data, voice, video and many other resources.
  • It shall also provide a suitable environment for enhancing, improving, integrating, refining and supporting the process of education or experimentation of many subjects, thus increasing it in the effectiveness of scientific research and making significant contribution in the use of rare or expensive equipments.

Nomination of Mr. Bharat Purohit for prestigious “President Award” at Rastrapati Bhavan, Delhi from 19th January 2018 to 23rd January 2018

Since 2013, Mr Bharat Purohit, lecturer in Mechanical Engineering department is an active member of Rajasthan State Bharat Scout and Guide. He has been honoured by prestigious “Rajyapal Award” on 22-02-15. He is also nominated for president award for his contribution in testing camp (Western Region) held at National Training Centre, Pachmarhi, Madhya Pradesh during 19-01-2018 to 23-01-2018. Total 194 rovers took part in this testing camp. Only 04 rovers were from Sirohi district and Mr. Purohit was one of them in the Camp. President award distribution ceremony shall be organized in the month of June 2018 at Rastrapati Bhavan, Delhi. Chairman Dr. Raj Kumar Rana and the entire team of Faculty of Engineering and Technology wholeheartedly congratulate Mr. Purohit for his great achievement.

One day training from Global Talent Track, Pune on 15th February 2018

One day face to face training program was organized by Faculty of Engineering and Technology on 15th February, 2018 from 9 am to 4 pm. This programme was mainly focused on personality development of students. Valuable information on grooming, body language & positive attitude was delivered by the trainer Mr Mohammad Juned Tak from BARCLAYS TRAINING - CAMPUS TO CORPORATE, Global Talent Track, Pune. Various interview skills, resume writing, job application filling etc were also discussed by the trainer during the sessions of the training programme. Students understood the tips to handle face to face interview during one to one or panel interview. Total 42 engineering and 15 management students took part in the programme. Dr. Deepak Paliwal, Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, gave the vote of thanks to the trainer at the end of the programme.
