Abu Road, Rajasthan – September 15, 2024 – Volunteers from Madhav University’s National Service Scheme (NSS) and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan conducted a cleanliness drive in Or Gram. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about sanitation and hygiene. A rally was organized through the village’s main streets to spread the message of cleanliness. Led by NSS Director Dr. Devendra Mujhalda, the volunteers also participated in a voluntary labor effort (shramdan) to clean various areas.
Retired police officer Bhairu Shankar Rawal discussed the sanitation challenges faced by the village. Sangeeta Singh, in charge of NSS Unit I, stated that volunteers cleaned the Chaupal playground and other public spaces. Dr. Renuka, in charge of NSS Unit II, motivated the volunteers to participate actively in the cleanliness drive. Volunteers including Khushi, Lakshya, Radhika, Rajesh Kumar, Raunak Kumar, Priyanshu, Veera Ram, Vipul Singh, Ghulam, Mohinuddin, Subhang, Umesh, Aditya, Sandeep, Pankesh, Tanveer, Nikul, and many others participated in the program. The event highlighted the importance of community involvement in maintaining cleanliness and promoting a healthy environment.
