Abu Road – Law students from Madhav University recently completed an educational visit to the Gujarat High Court in Ahmedabad. The trip provided students with a valuable opportunity to witness firsthand the court’s operations, procedures, and the decision-making processes of judges.
Guided by Police Constable Surendra Singh Waghela, the students toured the court premises, gaining detailed information about the court’s structure and various departments. They were divided into two groups and had the chance to observe court proceedings in different courtrooms. One group witnessed the ongoing hearings in courtroom numbers one and two on the C wing’s first floor. They observed the judicial proceedings conducted by Justices D. Nanavati and Niral R. Mehta. Another highlight was the opportunity to witness the proceedings of Public Interest Litigation (PIL) cases before Chief Justice Sunita Agarwal.
The students gained insights into the arguments and presentations made by lawyers. They also had the opportunity to interact with the judges and ask questions, enhancing their understanding of the judicial process. Law faculty members Dr. Vidya Shaktawat, Dr. Dushyant Ramawat, Dr. Rohitash Meena, Dr. Sandeep Gehlot, Dr. Meenu Dayma Sharma, Dr. Suresh Kumar Trivedi, and Dr. Surendra Singh Meena accompanied the students on the visit. Student Suresh Kumar Patel played a key role in organizing the trip.
Dr. Dilip Kumar Upadhyay, Dean of the Law Faculty, expressed his gratitude to the Gujarat High Court and the university administration for facilitating the educational visit. Dr. Bhavesh Kumawat, Registrar of Madhav University, reiterated the university’s commitment to providing students with practical experiences that complement their academic learning.
