
Abu Road, Rajasthan, India – February 12, 2025 – Madhav University’s 41st Academic Council meeting was held on Monday, presided over by Vice Chancellor Dr. Rajiv Mathur. The meeting focused on key issues related to the university’s development, promoting research, and improving the quality of education.
Discussions on Future Development
During the meeting, Dr. Mathur outlined new initiatives in line with the latest trends in education. He stressed the need for all departments to work together to provide quality education and enhance the university’s national and international standing.
Active Participation of Faculty Members
Heads of various departments and faculty members shared their views on issues and plans related to their respective departments. Key attendees included Dr. Mukesh Mahawar (Examination Controller), Dr. Mahendra Singh Parmar (Dean of Academic Affairs), Devendra Mujhalda (Dean of Student Welfare), Dr. Sushil Bhargava (Pharmacy Department), Dr. Amitabh Srivastava (Commerce and Management), and Dr. Basant Lal Patel (Agriculture Department).
Important Initiatives in Research and Development
Dr. Pawan Kumar, Director of the Research and Development Department, detailed the department’s upcoming plans. He announced that several proposals had been approved to give new direction to research activities at the university, including the establishment of new research centers and international collaborations. A proposal for the upcoming PhD entrance exam in April 2025 was also presented.
Discussion on New Academic Schemes
Several new academic proposals were passed in the meeting to make education more employment-oriented and innovation-based. These include the introduction of new courses, steps to promote digital education, and initiatives to boost research capacity among students. The university registrar informed that the “two-time admission” scheme passed by the UGC will be proposed from the 2025-26 session. Approval was also obtained for the Board of Studies of all departments.
