
Abu Road, Rajasthan, India – February 16, 2025 – Madhav University’s College of Agriculture participated in the Agricultural Science Fair held at the School of Agricultural Sciences in Dabok, Udaipur. The event was organized by the Indian Institute of Oilseeds Research, Hyderabad, and the School of Agricultural Sciences, Dabok, with the aim of promoting sustainable agriculture and natural farming practices.
Madhav University showcased a variety of high-quality organic agricultural products from its agricultural research laboratory and natural farming research farm. The displayed produce included various organically grown fruits and vegetables such as papaya, cauliflower, cabbage, cucumber, tomato, eggplant, and chili peppers.
The primary objective of the exhibition was to raise awareness among farmers about chemical-free natural farming techniques and educate them about the latest scientific research to enhance their agricultural output. The university team provided detailed information to farmers about the importance of using organic pesticides, bio-fertilizers, vermicompost, green manure, and adopting crop rotation methods.
Madhav University faculty members, including Dr. S.R.C. Seervi, Dr. V.M. Choudhary, Kailash Parihar, Dr. Rushita Kotadia, Dr. Umang Patel, Suresh Kumar, and Abhilasha Roy, shared valuable technical information with the farmers from a scientific perspective.
During the exhibition, students also demonstrated the process of making aloe vera laddus, a healthy and nutritious snack, using natural ingredients like aloe vera pulp, jaggery, dry fruits, clarified butter (desi ghee), and medicinal herbs. The students explained how these laddus can be used as a natural source of energy.
