Nine-Day National Science Day Celebration Concludes at Madhav University with Inter-School Competitions

Abu Road, Rajasthan – February 27, 2025 – Madhav University’s Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences successfully concluded its nine-day celebration of National Science Day, held from February 20 to March 1. The event featured a series of inter-school competitions that drew enthusiastic participation from students across Abu Road’s government and private schools.

The celebration aimed to foster scientific curiosity and innovation among young minds. The diverse range of competitions included debates, treasure hunts, science model exhibitions, and painting contests, providing students with platforms to showcase their talents and knowledge.

In the highly contested debate competition, Dheeraj Ghanchi from Government Higher Secondary School, Sarupganj, emerged victorious, demonstrating exceptional oratory skills and insightful arguments. Devika Kumari and Daksha Rawal from Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Rohida, secured the second and third positions, respectively.

The treasure hunt competition saw a team from Mahatma Gandhi Government Higher Secondary School, comprising Manisha and Himanshi, clinch the top spot, showcasing their problem-solving abilities and teamwork. Government Higher Secondary School, Sarupganj, also excelled in the science model competition, with Suresh Kumar securing first place and Ansh Prajapat taking second.

The painting competition highlighted the artistic talents of the students, with Janu Shri Saini from Mahatma Gandhi Government Higher Secondary School, Aburoad, winning first prize. Pankaj Kumar from Government Higher Secondary School, Sarupganj, and Ishika Mali secured second and third positions, respectively.

The event was graced by the presence of esteemed faculty members, including Dr. K.S. Dahiya, Dr. Farman Ali, Dr. Shahzad Ali, Dr. Pawan Swarnkar, Dr. Arun Parihar, Dr. Pankaj Chauhan, Dr. Rohitash Kumar, Dr. Bhavin Soni, Dr. Narendra Sharma, Dr. Geetika Singh, and Ravina Jhanjharia, who encouraged and motivated the students throughout the competitions.

Dr. Mamta Ben Soni, the event coordinator, and Dr. Jigar Soni, Dean of the Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences, expressed their gratitude to the Madhav University administration, organizers, teachers, and all participants for making the event a resounding success.

The National Science Day celebration at Madhav University not only honored the legacy of Sir C.V. Raman but also inspired a new generation of scientists and innovators.
