Abu Road, June 27, 2024 – Madhav University’s Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS), organized an awareness program on “Jal Hi Jeevan Hai” (Water is Life). The program aimed to raise awareness about the growing water crisis and encourage water conservation measures.
Dr. Mahendra Singh Parmar, the keynote speaker, highlighted the importance of rainwater harvesting techniques like check dams, bore wells, boulder dams, and water harvesting structures. He emphasized the need for efficient water management to address the increasing water scarcity.
Dr. Rana Pratap Singh, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, stressed that water conservation is crucial to overcoming the water crisis. Dr. Devendra Mujalda, NSS Director, emphasized the value of every drop of water and urged everyone to conserve water resources. Sangeeta Singh, NSS Coordinator, explained the benefits of rainwater harvesting, while Dr. Renuka, another NSS Coordinator, urged students to stop wasting water.
The program saw active participation from faculty members and students, including Santosh Kumari, Monica Agarwal, Sandeep Aditya Singh, Abhijeet Prajapati, Deepanshi Agarwal, Suresh Kumar, and many others.
