Abu Road, Rajasthan, India – September 18, 2024 – Madhav University in Abu Road celebrated the Visarjan of Lord Ganesha’s idol with great enthusiasm on the occasion of Anant Chaturdashi. The celebrations, which took place on Tuesday, included a grand procession with music and dancing. Students and staff participated wholeheartedly, chanting prayers and throwing colored powder.
University Chairman Prof. Raj Kumar, Pro-Chancellor Dr. Bijendra Kumar Gautam, President Dr. Rajiv Mathur, and Registrar Dr. Bhavesh Kumawat were among the dignitaries present. A special puja was performed before the Visarjan, with prayers offered for the prosperity and well-being of the nation. The procession culminated in the immersion of the idol in the Banas River, preceded by a Maha Aarti and Garba dance.
The ten-day Ganesh Utsav at the university featured various cultural and religious programs. Faculty members including Mahendra Singh Parmar, Dr. Vishnu Choudhary, Dr. Sandeep Gehlot, Dr. Manoj Kumar Behra, Dr. Jigar Soni, Dr. Sushil Bhargav, Mahendra Singh Gurjar, Chirag Malviya, Abhishek Meena, and Dr. Bharti Desai were present, along with student leaders such as Mahendra Singh Barala, Prithvi Singh Gohil, Lakman Bhadu, and others. All attendees sought blessings from Lord Ganesha for happiness, peace, and prosperity.
