Abu Road, Rajasthan, India – 29, Aug 2024 – Madhav University’s Department of Physical Education organized a week-long sports festival from August 26th to 31st to celebrate National Sports Day 2024. The festivities included various competitions such as Kabaddi, Chess, and Carrom, held on August 26th and 27th.
Under the guidance of Associate Professor and Nodal Officer Dr. Bharat Choudhary and Head of the Department of Physical Education Dr. Vishnu Choudhary, students from all departments participated enthusiastically, competing alongside their managers. The Kabaddi, Chess, and Carrom competitions were conducted under the supervision of Dr. Chintan Patel, Dr. Urvashi Patel, and Dharti Sawani.
The event witnessed the presence of Dr. Awadhesh Adha, Dean of the Faculty of Education and Physical Education, along with professors from various departments of Madhav University, who encouraged the participants and recognized their sporting spirit. The university’s celebration aimed to promote sportsmanship and physical fitness among students, commemorating the legacy of Major Dhyan Chand, whose birth anniversary is celebrated as National Sports Day in India.
