Madhav University Commemorated Quit India Movement

Abu Road, Rajasthan, August 11, 2024 – Madhav University’s National Service Scheme (NSS) units I and II organized a program commemorating the Quit India Movement. The event, held in the university’s auditorium, included a lecture on the movement’s significance in India’s struggle for independence.

Dr. Devendra Mujalda, NSS Director, spoke about the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the nation’s independence. He highlighted the bravery and determination of those who participated in the movement. Sangeeta Singh, NSS Unit I in-charge, further elaborated on the event’s objectives, while Dr. Renuka, NSS Unit II in-charge, discussed Mahatma Gandhi’s call for independence during the All India Congress Committee’s Mumbai session and the resolutions passed.

Dr. R.P. Singh, Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences, emphasized Bhagat Singh’s crucial role in the freedom struggle, acknowledging his courage in challenging British rule at a young age. History Department’s Dr. Sanjay Parihar explained the Quit India Movement’s importance and its impact on India’s eventual independence.

The lecture saw active participation from over 100 students and faculty members, including Dr. Prabha God, Dr. Ravindra Kuru, Dr. Amritlal, Dr. Jaideep Pandey, research scholar Media Davar, and NSS volunteers. The event aimed to educate and inspire students about the historical significance of the Quit India Movement and its contribution to India’s freedom. The news was published in Rajasthan Darshan.
