Kasindra, Abu Road, Rajasthan, India – September 6, 2024 – Madhav University’s National Service Scheme (NSS) unit organized a public awareness rally in Kasindra village under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Clean India Mission). The rally aimed to educate villagers about the importance of cleanliness and hygiene. University students actively participated in the event, conveying the message of cleanliness throughout the village.
Dr. Devendra Mujalda, Director of the NSS unit, emphasized the importance of maintaining a clean environment to prevent diseases. He encouraged villagers to adopt hygienic practices for a healthier life. Sangeeta Singh, in charge of NSS Unit 1, focused on raising awareness among rural women, explaining the significance of cleanliness in their daily lives. Dr. Renuka, in charge of NSS Unit 2, organized a tree plantation drive involving students, promoting environmental conservation and a greener future.
Volunteers cleaned the premises of the Anganwadi center, health center, and the Kashi Vishwanath temple, setting an example for the villagers. Key student volunteers included Rishi Chauhan, Manish Suthar, Nakul Singh, Suman, Tanisha, Prerna, Jagdish, Kusum, and Milan Agrawal. The event successfully conveyed the message of cleanliness and its importance for individual and community well-being. The university continues to engage in community outreach programs through its NSS unit, contributing to social awareness and positive change.
