Abu Road, oct, 29, 2024 – Madhav University’s National Service Scheme (NSS) unit organized a cleanliness awareness program in Abu Road municipality under the ‘This Diwali, My India’ initiative. The program aimed to educate citizens about the importance of cleanliness and promote a clean and beautiful environment during the Diwali festival.
The program was inaugurated by Deepika Veerwal, Executive Officer of the municipality, who discussed the significance of cleanliness and its contribution to a healthy life. The Rahul Foundation’s Project Manager highlighted methods of waste utilization and emphasized the ‘Waste to Best’ concept for environmental improvement. SBM Engineer Sachin Kumar provided information on the benefits and usage of organic fertilizers.
Dr. Devendra Mujhalda, Program Officer of the NSS, appealed to the students and volunteers to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings for good health. Sangita Singh, in-charge of NSS Unit I, inspired attendees to adopt waste segregation methods in their daily lives. Dr. Renuka, in-charge of NSS Unit II, expressed gratitude to all contributors for making the program a success.
University faculty members, including Dr. Sandeep Gehlot, Dr. Pawan Swarnkar, and Dr. Suresh Kumar Trivedi, along with numerous volunteers, participated in the program. This event is part of Madhav University’s campaign to promote social awareness and civic responsibility. The organizers announced that more such programs will be conducted in the future to raise awareness about cleanliness in society.
