Achpura – September 11, 2024 – Madhav University’s National Service Scheme (NSS) unit organized a tree plantation drive in Achpura village to promote environmental conservation. NSS volunteers planted trees on the premises of the Achpura village panchayat samiti. The drive aimed to raise awareness about the importance of trees and environmental protection.
Dr. Devendra Mujalda, Director of the NSS unit, explained the significance of environmental conservation and encouraged villagers to actively participate in protecting the environment. Sangeeta Singh, in charge of NSS Unit 1, emphasized the role of trees in maintaining ecological balance. Dr. Renuka, in charge of NSS Unit 2, highlighted the importance of planting and nurturing trees. She stressed that everyone should plant at least one tree and take responsibility for its care.
NSS volunteers, including Rishikesh, Vikram Goyal, Ganpat, Lata, Ravina, Janki, Karan, Milan, Seema, Gokla Ram, along with local villagers, participated in the tree plantation drive. The event successfully conveyed the message of environmental conservation and encouraged community involvement in creating a greener environment. The university regularly engages in such initiatives to promote social responsibility and environmental awareness among its students and the wider community.
