Madhav University Students Conduct Community-Based Rehabilitation Program

Sirohi, Rajasthan – September 20, 2024 – Students from the Special Education Department at Madhav University recently organized a community-based rehabilitation program in the villages of Khakarwada and Nitoda. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about disability within rural communities. The program focused on equal opportunities, rehabilitation, and social integration to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities.

As part of the campaign, students conducted door-to-door visits, emphasizing the importance of education for children with disabilities and informing residents about their rights. They also shared information about various government schemes available for disabled individuals. The awareness campaign saw active participation from faculty members including Dr. Raj Singh Sahrawat, Dr. Avnish Kumar Mishra, Raghavendra Yadav, Kumari Mamta, Naveen Kumar, Pathan Taufeeq Khan, and Shrey Khatak, alongside all the students of the Special Education Department. The university’s efforts highlight its commitment to social responsibility and community engagement. The program sought to foster inclusivity and support for disabled individuals within the rural communities surrounding the university.
