Madhav University Students Raise Awareness Against Child Labor Through Street Play

Sirohi, Rajasthan, India – [04.03.2025] – Madhav University’s Law Department students organized a street play in Mount Abu to raise awareness against child labor. The play highlighted the illegality of employing children aged 6 to 14 in any form of labor, emphasizing the loss of childhood and education suffered by these children.

The performance showcased the harsh realities faced by child laborers, urging viewers to report such cases to the labor department via the toll-free number 1098. The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. D.K. Upadhyay, Head of the Law Department, with significant contributions from faculty members including Dr. Vidya Shaktawat, Dr. Dushyant Kumar, and others.

Students like Pradyuman, Daksh, Jia, and others effectively conveyed the message through their acting. Madhav University Registrar Dr. Bhavesh Kumawat stated that the street play was a crucial step in raising awareness against child labor, fostering a commitment among the audience to oppose this practice. The event successfully educated the community and encouraged them to take action against child labor.
