Madhav University’s Physiotherapy Department Provides Free Treatment to Thousands

Abu Road, Rajasthan, India – September 8, 2024 – Madhav University’s Physiotherapy Department has become a valuable resource for patients, providing free treatment and raising health awareness. Established ten years ago, the department is celebrating its anniversary. University Registrar Dr. Bhavesh Kumawat reported that the department has treated approximately 150,000 patients for free over the past decade, with an additional 50,000 patients benefiting from free medical camps held in various locations across the district, including Kasindra, Bharja, Kiverli, Achpura, Bhujela, Swaroopganj, and Mount Abu.

Dr. R. Arunachalam, Head of the Physiotherapy Department and Neuro-Rehabilitation Specialist, stated that the department’s medical teams conduct health check-ups and provide free consultations in villages. The department boasts specialists in sports rehabilitation (Dr. Vaibhav Dave), community rehabilitation (Dr. Hemant Kumar), orthopedic rehabilitation (Dr. Aparajita), cardio-respiratory rehabilitation (Dr. Prachi Ojha), and pediatric rehabilitation (Dr. Aditi Bharadwaj). The department also operates a free consultation center at the university and provides free medicines alongside treatment to patients. The initiative has significantly benefited individuals with joint pain, paralysis, neck pain, back pain, and various other ailments.
