Sirohi, Oct 29, 2024 – Students from the Special Education Department at Madhav University are demonstrating newfound confidence and self-reliance this Diwali. The department has launched an inspiring initiative to provide vocational training, empowering students to become independent. In preparation for the festival, the students learned to craft clay lamps, developing their creativity and practical skills.
These handcrafted lamps are being sold at a stall on the university campus, providing the students with an opportunity to earn and gain valuable business experience. University staff and community members are supporting the students by purchasing their lamps, encouraging them on their path to self-sufficiency. This initiative has not only equipped the students with practical skills but also boosted their self-esteem and fostered a belief in their ability to achieve financial independence.
Dr. Bhavesh Kumawat, Registrar of Madhav University, stated that the university is dedicated to supporting students from the Special Education Department and is committed to helping them become self-reliant. He emphasized that such vocational training and practical experience builds confidence and prepares students for a brighter future. This initiative showcases how, with determination and support, individuals can overcome any obstacle and achieve self-reliance. The university’s commitment to empowering its students is evident in this heartwarming endeavor.
