Abu Road, Rajasthan – Madhav University organized a program to observe National Legal Services Day, in accordance with the directives of the National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi, and the Rajasthan State Legal Services Authority, Jaipur. The event was conducted by the District Legal Services Authority, Sirohi.
Dr. Mahendra Singh Parmar, Dean of Academic Affairs at Madhav University, conducted the program. Ramdev Sandu, Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, highlighted the significance of National Legal Services Day, legal awareness, free legal aid, and key aspects of the Legal Services Act. Manish Meena, Labor Officer of the Sirohi Labor Welfare Department, provided information about public welfare schemes related to the labor department. Anshu Rathore, Consultant of the Assistant Child Rights Department, discussed the Udan scheme, legal aid for SC/ST individuals and those affected by natural disasters, and the Social Justice and Child Rights Department.
Dr. Mahendra Singh Parmar also shared information about government schemes, the Palanhar scheme, pension schemes, and special rehabilitation assistance. Several dignitaries were present, including Kulshum Bano from the Women Empowerment Department, Sirohi, CDPO Ghevar Rathore from Aburoad, Dr. BK Gautam, Pro. President of Madhav University, Dr. Bhavesh Kumawat, Registrar of Madhav University, and others.
The program included discussions on various legal topics and aimed to raise awareness about legal services available to the public. A large number of students and faculty members attended the event. Prior to the main event, Legal Services Day was also observed at the Sirohi District Jail.
