Abu Road, May 25, 2024 – The All India Inter-Zonal University American Football Championship, hosted by Madhav University, concluded with a grand ceremony. The tournament witnessed participation from 25 teams and showcased exceptional athleticism from student athletes across the nation.
Vivekananda University emerged as the champion in both the Flag Game and Tackle Game categories. In the Flag Game, they were followed by Poornima University in second place and Chandigarh University in third. In the Tackle Game, Madhav University secured the second position, while Raja R.M.P.S.S. University claimed the third spot.
Shivakumar Rayachur University was recognized for its outstanding performance in the Flag Game, while Shubham Bhati from Poornima University was awarded for his exceptional performance in the Tackle Game.
The closing ceremony was graced by Madhav University Chairman Prof. Rajkumar, Chairperson Prof. S.N. Sharma, President Prof. Rajeev Mathur, Registrar Dr. Bhavesh Kumawat, and Head of Physical Education Dr. Vishnu Choudhary. They congratulated the winning teams and commended all participants for their dedication and hard work.
Prof. Rajkumar emphasized the importance of sportsmanship and highlighted the students’ commitment and dedication. Prof. S.N. Sharma expressed hope that this success would inspire other students to pursue excellence in sports. Prof. Rajeev Mathur lauded the players’ efforts and stressed the significance of sportsmanship over winning.
