Madhav University, near Abu Road (Sirohi), is becoming a boon for the villagers. While Madhav University has given a boost to education in the region, the university is also doing excellent social service work in the field of medicine and has provided free treatment to more than 50 thousand patients in the last two years. The examination of these patients and the distribution of medicines have also been done free of charge by the homoeopathic department of the university.
The university has adopted seven villages in the district, namely Deldar, Kivarli, Mosthala, Bhimana, Achpura, Kasinda, and Jamwala, doing social service work in various fields in these villages. The university’s homoeopathic department organises free medical camps in these villages every day; more than 100 patients are treated free of charge every day. Apart from this, free medicines are also being distributed here, and free tests are also done. Patients suffering from complex diseases are brought to the university hospital, admitted there, and treated free of charge. Free health check-ups for schoolgirls are also being done. Manoj Behera, head of the university’s homoeopathy department, said that the university has treated more than 50 thousand patients in the last two years.
