(i) Anxiety and Depression:-Execessive use of social media has been linked to increased levels of anxiety, depression,and loneliness.The constant exposure to idealised images and life style can lead to feeling of inadequacy and law self-esteem.
(ii)Sleep Disruption:- The use of social media,espically before bedtime,can disrupt sleep patterns,which in turn negatively affect mental health.
(iii) Addiction and Dependency:-
Some users develop a compulsive need to check their social media accounts,leading to addictive behaviours that interfere with daily life and mental well- being.

Social Media can be a platform for cyber- bullying,which can have severe psychological effects on victims, leading to anxiety, depression, and even sucidial thoughts.
