Madhav University’s unique initiative to provide education to handicapped children

Madhav University is continuously achieving new records in the field of education. And now we are trying to provide education to disabled children as well. Madhav Special School and Rehabilitation Centre has been started by the university for disabled children. Along with school education, free vocational education is also being given to the disabled students here. This school was established on August 1, 2023, last year. Currently, 70 students are studying at this school. Along with free education to the children studying here, the facility of transportation from their home to school is also being provided free of cost by the university. Six skilled teachers have been appointed by the university for these children, who are providing information about vocational education and daily lifestyles along with school education. From time to time, physical examinations of these children are also done by specialist doctors on the school premises. Madhav Vishesh Vidyalaya and Rehabilitation Centre’s principal, Raj Singh Sherawat, said that at present, 70 students are being provided vocational education along with school education in the school. In the future, hostel facilities will also be provided free of charge by the university administration for these children. School teacher Pawan Kumar said that teaching handicapped children is a challenge in itself; here, hearing impaired and deaf children are taught using gestures and symbolic methods. Teacher Nirbhan Singh said that in this school, attention is paid to the behaviour of these children so that they do not have to face problems in the future.
