Differently-abled Students at Madhav Special School Begin Diwali Preparations

Abu Road, Oct 8, 2024 – Differently-abled students at Madhav Special School have enthusiastically begun their Diwali preparations. Alongside their education, these students are also receiving vocational training to empower them to become self-reliant members of society. This training includes making lamps, decorating them, creating various types of candles, preparing envelopes, and more.

Dr. Raj Singh Sehrawat, Head of the Special Education Department, explained that providing only academic knowledge to differently-abled students is not enough; it is crucial to make them self-sufficient through vocational training. This will enable them to stand on their own feet in the future and live a dignified life in society. Teachers Pawan Kumar, Krishna Veer, Shiv Prakash, Shashi Gurjar, Nirbhan Singh, and Vishnu Kumar are conducting the training program. These teachers are working to refine the children’s skills with their experience and expertise.

The items and decorative materials made by the children are in high demand in the community during Diwali. The school’s effort has been lauded by the local community and parents, who have called this initiative an important step towards a brighter future for the differently-abled children. This initiative is not only a positive step towards making differently-abled children self-reliant but also sets an inspiring example for other areas of society.
