Madhav University Commemorated Quit India Movement

Abu Road, Rajasthan, India – September 4, 2024 – Madhav University organized a program under its National Service Scheme (NSS) unit to commemorate the Quit India Movement. The event included a lecture focusing on the movement’s significance in India’s struggle for independence, attended by over 100 students. The lecture highlighted the contributions of leaders like Bhagat Singh and Mahatma Gandhi.

Dr. Sanjay Parihar from the History Department explained the importance of the Quit India Movement and its impact on achieving independence. He emphasized the role of various leaders and the movement’s influence on the masses. Dr. Renu Bala, NSS program officer, discussed Mahatma Gandhi’s role and the resolution passed during the All India Congress Committee’s Mumbai session. Sangeeta Singh, NSS Unit 1 in-charge, and Dr. R.P. Singh, Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences, also shared their views. The program aimed to educate students about this pivotal moment in Indian history and instill a sense of national pride. The university regularly conducts such programs to promote awareness about historical events and their relevance in contemporary society.
