Abu Road, Rajasthan, India – September 10, 2024 – Madhav University’s Department of Agriculture concluded its National Nutrition Week celebrations with an award ceremony. The event recognized participants and winners of various competitions held during the week. Dean of the College of Agriculture, Professor V.R. Patel, stated that the week saw enthusiastic participation from children and that all students benefited from the program. Professor Geetam Singh noted that students gained valuable knowledge about nutrition during the week, including information gathered from visits to a dairy farm, the Tapovan Brahma Kumaris Natural Farming Center, and the Bhujela Anganwadi Center. Experts from the Homeopathy and Pharmacy departments also contributed to the students’ learning.
Dr. Laxmikant Sharma from the Animal Husbandry Department explained that the program provided an opportunity for children to learn about nutrition. He expressed hope that students will continue to participate in such programs. The award ceremony included Dr. Rajesh Panchal, Dr. Anand Baghela, Dr. Alok Kumar, Dr. Chirag Solanki, Dr. Umang Patel, Dr. Shikhar Desai, Dr. Sitaram Seervi, and Kailash Parihar. The university’s National Nutrition Week activities successfully raised awareness about the importance of nutrition and healthy lifestyles.
