July 17, 2024 – Madhav University has taken a strong stance against ragging with the formation of an Anti-Ragging Committee. The committee, established in accordance with the UGC guidelines of 2023, aims to create a safe and conducive learning environment for all students.
The committee, chaired by Dr. K.S. Dahiya, held its inaugural meeting to discuss strategies to prevent and address ragging incidents on campus. As part of the initiative, anti-ragging banners displaying the names, email IDs, and contact numbers of committee members will be prominently displayed across the university premises and in all faculties.
An Anti-Ragging Flying Squad will be deployed to monitor campus activities and proactively address any potential ragging incidents. Dr. D.K. Upadhyaya will lead this squad in its efforts to maintain a ragging-free environment.
The meeting also emphasized the mandatory use of university IDs by all students on campus. This measure aims to enhance security and facilitate identification in case of any untoward incidents. The meeting was attended by key members of the university, including Dr. Bhavesh Kumawat, Registrar, and other senior faculty members.
