Abu Road, Rajasthan – Madhav University’s Madhav Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital observed World Diabetes Day with a one-day seminar focused on health awareness and diabetes prevention. The event, organized by the university’s Homeopathic Department, emphasized the importance of health consciousness and provided key information on preventing diabetes.
Dr. Manoj Kumar Behera, Head of the Homeopathic Department, presided over the program and discussed diabetes prevention, symptoms, and effective treatments. Jagatjit Mohapatra, Public Relations Officer at Global Hospital, Mount Abu, highlighted the rapid increase in diabetes cases and stressed the importance of a healthy diet and regular lifestyle to manage the disease. He urged university students and staff to be proactive about their health and adopt preventive measures against diseases like diabetes.
A health check-up camp was also organized for students and staff, offering diabetes screenings and information on managing the condition. Attendees emphasized the usefulness of such programs and called for more health awareness events in the future. Dr. Abhijit Giri, Academic In-charge, Dr. Bhanu Pratap Singh, Exam In-charge, and several university professors and students were present. Dr. Shivakshi Bartwal conducted the proceedings. The event underscored the importance of education and preventive measures in combating diabetes.
