Anatomy is a branch of biology that is concerned with the study of normal structures of an organism. The department of Human Anatomy aims at making the students learn about normal structures of human beings from macro to micro level.
The Physiology Department is involved in imparting training to undergraduate medical students. The Department boasts of state of art facilities including Hematology Lab, Clinical Physiology Lab, Biochemistry Lab, and well equipped Library with sufficient books, models and descriptive Charts.
Homeopathic Pharmacy is different from the conventional pharmacy in which medical doctors and other healthcare professionals (such as nurses, pharmacists, and therapists) treat symptoms and diseases using drugs, radiation, or surgery. It differs in sources of drugs, collection of drugs, their preparation, dosage forms, and dispensing from the conventional pharmacy.
Homoeopathic Materia Medica is a branch of science concerned with the study of homoeopathic drugs used in the treatment of patients. As per the syllabus prescribed by Central Council of Homoeopathy.
The Department is well equipped with a Museum including portraits and charts. The Department also has a separate well equipped library with all essential Source books and Reference books including journals and articles in it.
The laboratories can accommodate 100 students in 4 batches and are well equipped with sufficient specimens, equipments, instruments and other facilities as prescribed by CCH. Each lab has attached preparation room cum store room. Adequate water supply,electricity, LPG connection, fire extinguisher is also available.
The department is well equipped with museum, staff room and demonstration room. All the legal procedure acts, professional ethics and etiquette, mechanical injuries, post-mortem changes, toxicology etc are taught in detail to the students.
This department deals with the provision of surgical diagnostic and therapeutic services in homoeopathy. The subject comprised of general and systemic( including orthopaedics) with branches of ophthalmology, applied dentistry and ENT. The department of surgery is equipped with essential instruments as per CCH norms. We have demonstration lab provided with a mannequin to teach students.
The museum is equipped with 21 laminated charts, 7 models(purchased), 13 clay models done by students, 7 specimens displayed in glass containers with neat labeling. We have dummies of birth simulators, pelvis and fetal skull which are used to demonstrate normal and abnormal labour. We have models on stages of conception for 9 months which is used to explain the changes during pregnancy.
This subject has major contribution in the curriculum and it is taught in the Third and Final year of BHMS course. The subject emphases in depth knowledge of causation, evolution, Symptomatology, progress, complications, prevention and management of various diseased states of all the systems of the Human body. It also helps the students to understand therapeutic aspect of treatment in clinical practice.
In addition to that the Students of Community Medicine Department encouraged and facilitated to actively participate in various Public Health Awareness Programmes conducted by the Institution periodically at the College OPD and other peripheral health care units of the College, during International awareness days like Cancer Day, Brest week, TB Day, AIDS Awareness Day etc.College conducts periodical medical camps, School Health Screening and other Epidemic Awareness and Preventive Measures programmes.
The department of Repetory has a well furnished and equipped library with numerous reference books and Computer lab with softwares for the use of staff, interns and students. The class room has charts and projector facility for better learning. The subject is taught to III and Final year students.
